This capability adds another dimension to the total service which we offer including advice to those customers wishing to undertake component assembly within their own facilities.

Trends

The growth in demand for outsourcing assembly by major OEMs is evident to all those companies involved in the electronics industry.

There are a number of factors to be taken into consideration when assembling components onto flexible or flex-rigid multilayer circuits which, given the niche nature of this market, are not always immediately apparent to contract manufacturing companies.

The decision by Teknoflex some years ago to expand its capability in the field of assembly onto flexible circuits was market driven and largely born out of the frustrations which customers were experiencing in identifying assembly subcontractors with the appropriate knowledge.

Teknoflex has therefore removed these frustrations for its customers by offering the total service and in doing so eliminating the difficulties which can arise regarding liabilities if a third party is involved, creating the most efficient supply chain option if required.

Teknoflex offer this facility exclusively to its flexible circuit customers and the knowledge accumulated over many years of assembly is now applied wherever we are involved in advising or undertaking the original circuit designs.
